Workshops Package

Our 3-Workshop Package is available nationally!

Our 3-Workshop Package for teacher training and professionals is a series of online training workshops, which are delivered virtually - therefore we are able to offer this service country-wide!

All workshop training can be undertaken online at the convenience of the organisation or participants. Each workshop is specifically designed to fit into a twilight training session.

Included in this package is a live 2-hour Supervision Session (delivered virtually) on completion of all three workshops - a chance for feedback and general guidance for all participants.

Holistic Assessment for Contextual Safeguarding and the Benefits of Supervision

This workshop aims firstly to help participants understand what Contextual Safeguarding is and the importance of it in their practice; as well as introducing the concept and principles of Holistic Assessment and explaining why Holistic Assessment gives the best chance of a positive outcome from a single intervention.

Secondly, this workshop aims to help professionals understand what Supervision is and the importance of it for good practice and self-care.

 

The main objectives from this workshop are for participants to have an understanding of:

  • What Contextual Safeguarding is and why it is important

  • The principles of Holistic Assessment

  • Why Holistic Assessment gives the best chance of positive outcomes from a single intervention

ACE's and Trauma

Understanding ACE's and the Importance of Trauma-Aware practice

This workshop is an introduction to the impact of ACE’s and Trauma, how to recognise them and how to work compassionately with them.

 

Through this workshop participants will gain an understanding of what an ACE / trauma is and the therapeutic importance of trauma-awareness. Participants will also learn how being trauma-aware in their practice will improve outcomes for the child and family.

The main objectives from this workshop are for participants to have an understanding of:

  • What an ACE / trauma is

  • The therapeutic importance of trauma-awareness

  • Why being trauma-aware in your practice will improve outcomes for the child and family

Behaviour as Communication 

An introduction to child-centred practice

 

This workshop is an introduction to child-centred practice.

 

Through this workshop participants will gain an understanding of how behaviour is used to communicate; along with the therapeutic importance of non-verbal communication, and why your own language and position are so important to a child’s understanding.

The main objectives from this workshop are for participants to have an understanding of:

A FREE mini-mindfulness resource is also included in this 3-Workshop Package

 

The mini-mindfulness resource is designed to support the development and maintenance of an emotionally healthy whole-school culture.

On completion of these three workshops, participants will be invited to attend a 2-hour Group Supervision session (delivered virtually) to give them the opportunity to discuss ‘real world’ cases, test and apply their newly acquired knowledge safely, and to ratify their understanding of the workshops.

Following completion of the Workshops and Supervision session all participants will receive the PDF resources from the training to keep, and a completion certificate.

Workshops Package

Understanding Domestic Abuse

Available in Swale and Medway

Our Understanding Domestic Abuse training is a half-day workshop, delivered in person. We are therefore only able to offer this training in the Swale and Medway areas of Kent at the moment.

​

This Workshop was made with teacher training for schools in mind, however we are able to offer this training to other professionals and organisations who feel they would benefit from it.

​

Understanding Domestic Abuse training is designed to help staff identify potential warning signs of domestic abuse, understand the impact of domestic abuse on the children and their ability to learn, and to know where to access further advice and support for victims / survivors.

The main outcomes from this workshop are for participants to:

​

  • Understand what Domestic Abuse is

  • Understand the impact of Domestic Abuse on children & young people

  • Recognise some early warning signs of an abusive relationship and knowing where to signpost victims for support
