VOLUNTEER WITH US

We’re always on the look out for compassionate, empathic people to volunteer with us, who can help us change the lives of children and their families. 

​

If you think you fit the bill, here’s what we can offer you:

​

  • A DBS check

  • Access to training and Supervision

  • The opportunity to work with a fabulous and incredibly knowledgeable team

  • The opportunity to build life-changing relationships with children and their families

  • The opportunity to witness that amazing moment when all the hard work falls into place and you get to see a child thrive because of something YOU did to help.

  • Opportunities to facilitate and co-facilitate group work

 

What we need from you:

​

  • A good work ethic

  • The ability to commit to some regular hours – per week / month / term

  • Your life experiences

  • A willingness to get stuck in and learn as you go

  • For you to be respectful, approachable, and non-judgemental

  • A clean criminal record and (preferably) a driving license.

JLTS offers many services to help children, families and other professionals, specialising in Domestic Abuse recovery and Contextual Safeguarding.

 

If you work for a school or other service involved with vulnerable children and families in the Swale and Medway areas, please contact us for a free consultation or to enquire how our services can benefit your organisation.

For children and families we offer free 1-1 therapy and online counselling services - send us a message and we will get back to you to see how we can help!

We also provide our weekly family services blog, which provides advice, hints and tips in a range of different areas, including ACE's; behaviour; communication; forgiveness; grief, 'Why Holistic Assessment in Important in Schools'; and 'Incentives - Behaviour Management vs Behaviour Modification' with many more useful topics to come!
